I’m proud to present my first take on editing and first frag movie ever:

youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUYS7Aj2jQw
pldx: http://pldx.com/movie/1236/Look_of_Disapproval/
download link: http://www.filefront.com/16757959/look_of_disapproval.mp4/

I was aiming for a flowing editing style without too many effects. Criticism is welcome!

The file is encoded as avi with 60 frames, then recoded with ffmpeg using the pldx tutorial to a .mp4 file with 6000kbits I think.

The music is Peter Fox – Stadtaffe.
Used Programs: Sony Vegas Studio, pldx Recording tool and ffmpeg.

Cheers for watching

Oh Cairenn, be nice! :>

Pendji

Needs more 30 fps, looks laggy.

randa

Quite good, too many unimpressive filler kills though 8/10

This is rather strange, I recorded it at 90 frames. It is not laggy on my pc tho.

Thanks, I know there is a bit too few good material in there, but I got really motivated when editing and just wanted to finish it.

Thanks for the comments so far!

Liked it to an extent, I got bored quite quickly.

There was quite alot of frags where I was just sat watching and not realy understanding why they were there, but if you wanted to finish the editing, thats a fair enough reason.

I think it would be ALOT better if you had put some colours and a bit of velocity useage, espicialy with a song like that, imo its alot easier to edit to a faster paced song (not drum and base extent, more like rock, metal, pop, something with a distinct heavy beat)
as a early editing job, but none the less as your first edit was good and ALOT better than nearly everything I made when I first started (dont get me wrong I’m still not good now either)
