Hey,
I just downloaded PLDX, and I seem to have a little problem running it. Whenever I launch it, I get this error message from .NET Framework:
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies.
I already tried to reinstall Framework 3.5, but when I try to install 3.5 it says there occured an error.
I thought maybe you guys experienced the same problem and have a solution for it? Please let me know, I really want to start editing TF2 vids :D
I have no idea how to fix that problem, but I know that you don’t need pldx.
Backup the scripts, resource, particles folders inside tf, and replace those with the ones in pldx. Then run tf2 in 1280×720. When ingame type “exec pldx” in console. I hope you know the rest. :)
the pldx tool isn’t necessary to recording, you can use simply the console commands
host_framerate
startmovie xxxx
endmovie
etc etc
Ok thx a lot, but will I still able to use the depth overlay for DoF?
i guess every option in the tool has a console command
so, maybe this one?
r_depthoverlay : 0 : , “cheat”, “cl” : Replaces opaque objects with their grayscaled depth values

Yep. “r_depthoverlay 1” for the thing.

Thanks! I’m gonna try to make a clip tomorrow using DoF.
