cp_gorge in 6v6?

Has anyone tried cp_gorge in a 6v6 setting? It would be fun to have another stopwatch map.

Even if the last point is indoor, it seem to have enough different entrances to make it better than indoors on cp_well.

This map feels massive with 12v12. 6v6 would just make it feel horribly horribly empty.

It’s just a bit wider than Granary, and that’s not too wide for 6v6. I think it’s a really good map, but who knows, maybe a doublecross/gorge cup is in order.

Doublecross is horrific in pubs, from what i’ve seen, mid is dominated by a good sniper and the rest is too choky and easy to hold, so you just have a near-neverending fight on the bridge. However, I guess with only one demo compared to 6 demos and 6 sollies or so as it is atm on pubs, there wouldnt be so much spam inside and it might be better. I’d definitely like to hear how the two maps are in a match if anyone has played them.

on doublecross you can die so easy by falling down,
no need for the map pool imo

Having played it once, doublecross seems like it could be a different way to play ctf. It’s definitely much faster paced than turbine and I think all we need is some testing to see if the gameplay is otherwise fitting. Falling down is most definitely not easy as I’ve never even seen anyone fall down there. We already have trains in this game, at least a huge chasm of death isn’t random.

Gorge didn’t feel too huge after playing one gather on it, while the blu spawn is quite easy to shut down at first I think it’s balanced by the fact that red can’t afford to get wiped out there due to the size of the map and the spawntimer. It definitely rewards a patient defender just like gravelpit.
