this. I really like the looks of your current changes, but I don’t see how you can just expect to release a final1 of this and be gone. This looks to me like a rollback to beta or even alpha stage in my opinion.
Personally I think Obscure is a great map already, and I’d actually prefer if you’d start working on something entirely new with the experiences you’ve got from designing obscure. I can see how you’e doing some really interesting changes, and I hope youll finish this.

Because fps issues, a similarity too close to badlands, cuz of granary chokes aren’t bad per se, I mean there are classes such as medic that welcome chokes like that. There’s a delicate balance.
Anyway there are several maps that don’t have a choke like that, but people don’t bother to play it so joke’s on you.

Byte prolly sent a huge (byte huge, which is huuuuge) amount of time getting ppl to test the map and get it to be accepted into leagues map pool, which is not an easy task. Trying to do the same with a new map and with a new name would be like throwing obscure in the trash and starting from 0 with a new map.
also… Byte and his map makers tried to make cp1 playable but even with some big changes even in the _final version it didnt work out. I agree on doing a total remake of it to get in some new fresh ideas. The choke needs some rework (imo + admirable nub) but its nothing major. Not nearly enough to make a new map. cp_obscure is a well known map for tf2 now, throwing that away would be stupid :P

Why would you remove the snow :< Put it back in please! Boycotting the non-snow version. Fuck people's crosshair issues.
