I use a white crosshair and never had a problem with the snow. It’s not like you panic and forget where the middle of your screen is once your crosshair touches the snow for a few seconds. Shame.
First off, mad props to both you and Arnold for putting the work into these maps.
I too use a white crosshair. Never saw the snow as much of a problem, but don’t really mind the change either. That greeny forest theme could look nicer though…
So far I’m loving the look of cp1, can’t wait to get my hands on this beauty! :)
I agree with one of the previous dudes posting a few hours back, apart from the already mentioned issues with cp1 and bad fps, attacking from cp2 –> cp3 is close to impossible, and its not rly a walk in the park to do a proper cp3 –> cp2 attack either. These changes dont seem to change this issue.

The lines of sight and small entrances on the choke points make the map a real slog to play.
Your opponent can see the push a mile off, force and fall back with ease.
The doorways and chokes are all so fucking tiny that any push with even numbers will generally require the attacker to uber years before the defender.
There is no verticality to the choke points, you can’t jump through without first playing Russian roulette with sticky traps and spam.
Now this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, Granary operates similarly, but you don’t have 20-20 vision on your opponents attacks from the opposite side of the motherfucking map :D
Even something as simple as those standing corrugated iron sheets a few metres in front of the doorways to open areas would provide attackers some respite and also reduce snipers line of sight, forcing them to come out of the doorways.
A full reworking isn’t even required; a few well positioned props would make the world of difference.
Also for the love of god man take a look at the size of doors and chokes compared to other maps. It’s not just the physical dimensions of the doorframes I’m talking about either, it’s the areas around them too, both horizontal and vertical.
You’ve got these tiny doorways from tiny, cramped buildings leading to confined open areas, it’s a fucking gauntlet that spam just rapes in.
If you change the theme I would prefer a grass/mountain theme thing, just so it looks different to all the gray/dark maps we play 24/7. 2nd looks good, don’t really get last (mainly because I don’t really know how to look at it :P). Needs some open, non-ceiling, chokes to jump through (think badlands choke).

This, i hate having to uber from 3rd to second right at the door because the demoman stickied it and the rest of his team is miles away.

Definitely.
Badlands is a great map – why? Chokes doesn’t stalemate so much. If you have the advantage you can push efficiently, often without uber. I fail to see why people aren’t copying this, and instead copy+paste the granary chokes all over the maps they make. :/
Because fps issues, a similarity too close to badlands, cuz of granary chokes aren’t bad per se, I mean there are classes such as medic that welcome chokes like that. There’s a delicate balance.
Anyway there are several maps that don’t have a choke like that, but people don’t bother to play it so joke’s on you.
Byte changing this map so much, why didn’t you just make a new one?
