Cp_Boreal is a Gravelpit-style a/d map, set somewhere in the forest ecozone of Canada. A short time ago, I asked you what you guys were looking for in a 3Cp map. It took me a while, but here is the first version! [invalid URL]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36963485/cp_boreal_a1a.bsp.bz2
It is an alpha map and it hasnt been tested yet, so it will not look very good (for now). And thats where YOU come in! I encourage you all to try it out, and leave feedback, also a demo of the PUG would be nice as well, if possible.

from the screens it looks too small
That’s not gravelpit style, that C point has the exact same style of gameplay as gravelpit, try to make a map with a new and exciting dynamic, otherwise there’s no reason to play it. The last point is the part to be focused on, like a mid point on a 5cp.
The B point looks fun though, so good job with that, and also nice to see more people making maps.

I honestly had no idea what to do for the C point, so i made it quite similar to G-Pit, for now, until i have a better idea to put for it. Its still in alpha, so i can make huge changes without much trouble. I think though, that the 3rd point should be a spire, because those are some of the most interesting points on maps (see Badlands second or g-pit C)
A looks like it could be a clusterfuck, but B looks cool.

I agree with what you said about the A point. It was the first point i made, so I doubt that it would play well. After playing it with bots, it wasnt very fun at all. Im in the middle of remaking it to play better atm, so expect a new A by the end of the week :D
A2 out. New A, new C, added a tad of cover at B. [invalid URL]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36963485/cp_boreal_a2.bsp.bz2Download is Here!

How so? If you are going to say something isn’t right, can you at least give an explanation as to why, please? I can’t read peoples minds you know!
A3 out now!
Changes:
-Made the map much smaller
-Point B is an L-shape
-Changed all the connectors

always enjoyed playing gravelpit in 6v6. it’s fun that you’re making new sorts of maps for 6v6 rather than 5cp. GL :)))
Its looking great, thanks for taking the comp community’s advice when making a map!
Hopefully no one played a3 yet, it had numerous mishaps that i didnt seem to notice.
Heres A3a: [invalid URL]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36963485/cp_boreal_a3a.bsp.bz2
