-Adjusted spawns so you spawn faster when you capped enemy cp2
-Defenders spawn slower when defending cp1
-Spawntimes are decreased slightly overal
-Captimes have been decreased
-Added a hill on the long stretch leading to cp1 cutting sightlines and creating an area to fight over
-Added cover to cp2
-Fixed z-clipping issues
-Made some lamps jumpable instead of non-solid
-Several other bugfixes

how come its been already a year with no progress towards moving this into season? it was not even close as bad as any other maps we are trying to pull off… have some balls!

New version of croissant with some changes

– Fixed the spawntimes from rc8 had a slight bug (hence the recent release of rc9 again)
– Made falling off of last cp way less punishing by elevating most of the lower ground area to half of the original stairs
– Quickly ascending from the lower area will make it more useful and cuts sightlines when you duck in and out, I’m aware it also makes it easier to hold the lower doors, but to do that you give up holding up top so that’s good.
– Added a medium medpack to the lower entrance to last
– Added much needed cover and widened the flank route to lumbershack
– Fixed z-clipping issues again
– Added birdpoop decals to the floor of midhouse with pidgeons on the framework on the roof to add realism.
– Added a small ramp where the flank tunnel used to be going to last
– Added the possibility to run up cp2 from the other side using boxes and ladders
– Didn’t think of a better visual solution for the crates/ramp construction going to last
– Added non-solid windows to the map to make up for the recent removal on badlands

it’s amazing what tiny tiny holes in the clipping can let you do :D
this trick is so hard and takes so long to pull off that it’s almost not worth it in pubs if you wanna grief, and you would also get in trouble for abusing it in highlander. I would actually advise you to not fix it and just leave it in, and maybe put a fun little easteregg out there in the trees. Because why not? :D

just an explanation for the curious ones:
the killtrigger doesn’t cover all of the grass/floor/whatever. There is a tiny, tiny piece where you can stand without touching the killtrigger. It’s of course impossible to place buildings through anything that blocks the playermodel, which includes playerclip; the invisible walls that block you. But in this case, that clipping wall actuallly doesn’t touch the ground and seal you properly off from the outside of the map – it actually floats a few units above in that specific spot. So if you crouch in that spot and aim at the correct place, the game will allow you to build there because it can’t detect anything “solid” that you have to reach through to place the building, and the clipping wall is thin enough for the building to be able to reach the other side. If it had been thicker, I would have been unable to place that exit because the game would have detected something above the exit that’ll make the player get stuck.

If you wanna fix it though, just drag the clipwall down so it touches the ground and the crack isn’t there, then it’s impossible to build through it. But you probably already knew that.

Yeah i knew the bad clipping allowing you to build bug, still very impressive find.

And Animal I have no idea why there is little interest in croissant, people just made up their minds I guess. I’ll still try to improve the map the best I can, though it’s a shame people don’t want to give the map a chance.

The most recent league to play this map for HL is wireplay (I think).

At least 50% of the games in all divisions ended 1-0 after 30 minutes. The map is a real stalemate and pushing last is very tough in HL. The main issue I think is how tight the choke and bridge on last point are, they need to be at least twice as wide imo to alleviate the constant spam and reflecting that goes on as you try to push through it.
