That is exactly true, the map offers a different experience depending on which side you’re playing at. But having played a few games on both sides, I can say I much prefer (as a demoman) the red side, largely because of the way you can spam at mid and 2nd point.
I know it might sound like a petty thing, but then again some teams rush the blu side on granary so they can have a slightly more spacious corner at mid and the possibility to snipe behind the fence on last. After all, why would you want give your opponent an advantage, regardless how small a one…

I must say that this is one of the things that I dislike the most about the map. How the two sides differ. Maybe I will get used to it, but, it is kind of having to get used to two maps instead of one – in the same way that mirror badlands just feel awkward.
Now with how the map is designed and mid is designed this may be a moot point, and not to much to do about; and while it might have been a bold design feature, personally I would much prefer the map to be symmetric in the normal sense.

thanks for the screens and bugreports so far, keep them coming it’s helping a lot. It’s preferred to use the newest version for bugchecking.
