Basically, it’s WAR updates, FAN and sandman not allowed, that is all. Really quite far from ‘Vanilla’.
The “vanilla and medic” ‘movement’ is the school of thought that TF2’s gameplay is the most balanced and plays the best with only the medic unlockables. It’s not a statement about what is currently allowed or acceptable, but asking for it to be this way. It’s not necessarily saying that “backburner is overpowered” but that it doesn’t really add anything to gameplay; the FaN may not be considered overpowered by anyone due to the ridiculous knockback they added but that doesn’t mean that it’s more enjoyable to play with it being allowed. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong ))
(Oh and I think Darn’s point was that there’s no point kicking up a fuss about vanilla + medic with the current set of ETF2L rules over someone using a weapon such as Natascha which doesn’t really affect gameplay all that much, which is entirely different to saying that you’d prefer it to be allowed given the choice)

Think I’d prefer to have a targelander demo against me, less chance of the door blowing up when we push.
