Can I just get together with my friends and start a team, or do we have to be part of some website or something?
Also, is there a registration fee?

Be part of some website? Er- try this website. :)
Go to team admin on top right, then you can create team there. ;)
Ok, thanks. When they said “Team community vs team community” I was afraid we had to be part of some organized clan.
A clan can be as organised or as unorganised as you like, that’s why there are divisions :)
and there is no fee for participation.
Just signup a team and get your friends in it. You can just play for fun….
lol reCon :-D
If you are looking to make a new highlander team, be sure to check this out: http://etf2l.org/forum/highrec/
i guess he’s talking about http://etf2l.org/2010/03/25/the-etf2l-highlander-community-challenge/ and there are a few restrictions on that one…
Hi Arrari Please add me to steam and we can talk about your registration fee.

*what ARE the criteria for starting a team
OR
*What is the CRITERION for starting a team
Criteria is the plural form of criterion. (Greek pluralization)
Off topic: Think of the TF2 puns you can make with the word “crit” and “criterion”
get group of friends or good players and play together and do what you wanna do ie play for fun or try to get as far as possible.
as for v2 well we do this http://tiny.cc/4lt6m
After playing in a number of clans and several mixes I must say that the criteria is:
One player that rages.
One who whines.
One that is quiet, except for occasional cursing, tourettes?
One that discusses tactics, prefferably NOT on the map you are playing.
One that tries to get everyone else to play serious but noone listens to.
One that has a crappy internet.
Now you have a complete team ;)

This is just soo true.. :-)
Although there are some more variants.
One that shows up once a week and has half an hour to play before he has to go to bed.
One that likes to talk about his latest vacation in mumble while the enemy is pushing.
Sometimes I think it would be a good idea if people from the same category formed teams together.

I think that’s what people generally try to do, in the sense that “friends who get along” should be in a team together. Or at least, people who want the same thing out of the game, and have a similar attitude.
