Someone please tell me where i can find the lineup for tomorrow’s Monday Night Madness. I’m on team 6 Black Belts and I need to know when we are playing, who we are playing against, and which server we are playing on. If anyone an tell me that information, I would greatly appreciate it.
but how will i know which server my team is playing on?
The brackets will be drawn this afternoon :)
You decide on a server between yourself and your opponents, or you can request an ETF2L server by popping into #etf2l and typing !admin.
I hope this thread is for feedback aswell. Regarding the cup i would suggest to draw the matches atleast one hour before the cup is supposed to take off. If you’re opponents aren’t available in IRC or did not specify a way to contact them it takes some time to arrange the match. This leads to shortened playtime which is especially aggravating for such a tournament because it’s supposed to be a playtest and most teams will play the map for the first time.
Coldfront is ok but i am not sure if it should be included in the mappool. First of all i don’t like the setting. I like warm, bright colors because they fit tf2 best.
Although the map has some really nice and interesting cps it lacks a bit in terms of being intuitive to play.
I agree with Kurt, I’d like to see the brackets be drawn up earlier next time so I get a little more time to arrange a server. :D
On the map itself however, I disagree with him. Its dynamics and flow are different from badlands, but not necessarily worse. Pretty much all routes are viable to push from as heavy classes, there’s plenty of backcap possibilities and overall requires a different approach. I like it, and think it should be up for consideration for the map pool next season.
I really enjoyed the map, last was a little easy to defend in my opinion and it still needs some optimizing on FPS but its really good.
Also, once you get past trying to put badlands / granary tactics on it its a fun and intuitive map.

I didn’t actually compete in the cup but on the subject of the setting I think it’s quite a nice looking map. We have gullywash now pretty much a core map and thats as sunny as it gets. Maybe it’s a good thing to have variety like that. Having said that, we already have obscure.
In regards to the map itself the main issue i have is the entrances to last. it seems way too easy to defend when you knwo what your doing since theres only 3 small entrances, maybe if the middle entrance was like 2 Garage doors or something so you can move around then itd be nice.
Middle point is a spam fest for the demo since its in close proximety of the house.
The actual MNM#2 ran very smoothly and very much looking forward to the next, well done to D2M and his team!
Monday Night Madness really does lighten up your week, especially if you win :D

This.
Really liked playing on the map, it has some interesting rollout jumps for the demo (at least for the route I took). Only thing I noticed is that CP2 was hard to defend for us because there are 6 or 7 ways to get there
