Look at the patch valve released last night, it pretty much addresses all the things people whine about, no one will ever be pleased, just play the game valve give us in its current state, they will (and have just) adjust things where nessisary.

That the unlocks needs patches every two weeks indicate there is something wrong with them. Isnt really good when major updates to the unlocks come out in the middle of the league.

*Every* 2 weeks? Really? Do they really do that? No.
Did the previous major update come in the middle of the season? No, no it did not.
None of what you’ve posted warrents “Agreeing a new ruleset”
All valve doing is listning to the community, as it becomes appernt we are the “playtesters”, if another major update did happen in the midde of a season, the league admins review it like normal, thats irrelevant.

Nobody yet has suggested that people play the vanilla game it’s just what ever un locks you decide you want. Stop saying vanilla.

You are ignoring my post. The unlocks are bugged. See the fan now. You can launch players to the other side of the map. It is even more bugged as it was before. Thanks valve.

So a bugged weapon that will be fixed warrents a whole division making their own rule set banning *all* unlocks (except medic of course…and equalizer maybe as some d1 players like it!!)

Div1 players are more than welcome to do what they want, im just putting my point accross of the effect it will have, if d1 dont care or dont want to try to learn then dont bother, fairy muff, im entitled to put my opinion accross and try to convince people otherwise, im not forceing anyone to do anything.

The crux of the situation i think was TLR posting this in public – If they’d have just added D1 clan leaders in private and aggreed not to use certain weapons, no one could care less, but the fact they posted in public saying “HEY D1 LETS PLAY TF2 LIKE ITS 2008!” and thus brings subsequent forum rage :>

So what I gather from this thread is that it is not okay for people in div 1 to have a gentlemens agreement between them so they can play a version of TF2 they enjoy, which still allows teams that want to use the unlocks to use them.

But it is okay for people not in div 1 to try and force them to play a version of TF2 they don’t enjoy.

I never said div1 cannot have their gentleman’s agreement made before an actual match – only that it is stupid to try and make it an – more or less – official rule by opening a thread in the forums, because that would mean different rulesets for different divisions. We could also let div6 players play with crits on, no?

Does all this mean every div can choose their own rules then? Div 5b using buff banner but no others, Div 6c using all unlocks, Div3a using FAN only, Div 4c using TDH, SR and FAN limit one? As long as there is agreement between all of the teams yeah? Where will this end?

I know, lets forget about rules and if two teams agree why not allow 2D radars and aimbots, ‘But we got a gentlemans agreement so it’s cool yeah?’

Edit: Yeah, this should have been kept private between you all, this was always gonna be a large can of wriggly, ugly looking worms that should never have seen the light of day.
