I consider myself to be quite good as it is
Playing medic is about 95% gamesense

alf of it was so ridiculously lucky that I almost fell off my seat.
You make your own luck. Sure you can always stay far behind and fall back to previous point at the first sign of trouble, but where’s the fun in that. Even if you play medic, don’t believe that you’re the team’s bitch and have to play safe n perfect all the time. If you feel like doing some backcapping solo, go for it.
Taking chances is fun.

Ye, ok, i’m being daft. :(
medic is about gamesense,
which you basically get through experience.
Wait what? So what you are saying is, Thalien is wrong?

sure a lot of decisionmaking etc comes with it,
but the grounds you make these decisions on come through gamesense and assessing the threats.
at least imo

Read it again but from a slightly sarcastic, not particularly witty outlook. You will see that I am agreeing with you about the gamesense part.
there’s this guy called glu or something that’s so good he has an uber named after him

There, if you bother to rollback them. I’m not sure if they’re broken by the update or not.
I think demos will help with almost any class, you just have to know how to learn from the demos. You just watch a demo, think actively about what he’s doing, and what the goal is, notice some few details/new things, then try and make mental notes along the way, and then go and test them out immediately after so you won’t forget. Watching lots of demos in a row or whatnot won’t help, neither will just watching the demo. You gotta think.

Well spoken.
There is a lot you can learn from watching demos and STV when good medics play if you study the medic actively.
But one should of course remember that this doesn’t tell the whole story. For example you don’t hear the Mumble/vent communication. Also the medic might do a lot of things for a very specific reason, which a more unexperienced player might think is just random/luck or whatever.
