I don’t realy understand why people are saying that TF2 is dead all over this forum. Just because a few division 1 teams have folded, people seem to think that there is no more interest in competitive TF2. There are still a few hundred teams signed up to ETF2l and sure there has been a bit of a drop from the higher tier teams, but that does not mean that TF2 is finished. Going around the forum saying things like: ‘who cares, tf2 is dead anyway’, doesn’t help. If you are happy to stop playing TF2 just because a few other teams fold, that doesn’t mean you have to go around the forum spreading negative comments about the livelihood of this game. Call me ignorant, but to me TF2 still has lots of potential, as long as people don’t give up on it, and put in the effort.
P.S. I just felt like venting :)
+1
plus all the team who tried to register but haven’t joined this season (70+ i think?)

same
but +1 – I think you’ve said what half the community is thinking :)
The main reason for this (atm) is because Valve have just left TF2, the beta seems to have been an utter waste of time (from what ive seen).
Soldier still hasnt been updated and if it isnt the next class updated thats another knife in the back of all competitive gaming communitys.
Also everyones raging about MW2 which was our lifeline for all the people who get bored of doing exactly the same thign every game.
No more posts by Evil then?

In my oppinion Valve have done enough work on TF2 for 3 games, and surely they can rely on us to hold the competitive community together while they step away for a few months to work on another game? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Valve has given us an ever changing game, and we don’t even have to pay for these changes. They are even attempting to cater to the competitive side by launching the beta project, If they can put their time into making this game better for us, we can help.
