what will tournament site do with dedicated voip server…

Also, Given the the fact that we have FB and a few people (myself included) giving out mumble channels for free, I think there is bassically no market left for VoIP servers in the TF2 community.

the point is very likely a direct link from the tf2 server to the mumble, so you talk & play.

Well, seeing that ETF2L now has a sponsor who provides a free VoIP server, it now lessens the need for you guys to provide those services. Its useless for the sake of improvement to compete in a thing that needs no competition, if you can use that money for something else that still does good for the community. :)
EDIT: Oh yes, why not to give some of the neutral servers for certain durations (until the end of the next league season, for example) as prizes to the teams that are succesful in their divisions?

Tbh, I just have a server with alot of un-used bandwidth. So bassically its not costing me anything to run anyway.
I +1 the free server idea. I think Wireplay have 2 servers they do that with for the winner of the 6v6 leagues. All the teams who won their group are put into a hat and 2 winners are chosen and given the servers.

I don’t think so but its definately do-able. I know HH have something like that on their public servers with ventrilo, so im sure it can be done with Mumble.
I and mike did a plugin for joining a mumble server + channel.
But it needs some reconfiguration and we can improve it.
