Pod and OMG won their divisions and must go up, but Eta beat nfinity in playoffs, a little strange how they are placed, and dont say they used “powermercs”, both Sneis and Aeq has only played div3 as i recall.

I’m not going to bore anyone with any facts but, in short, you’re an idiot. Wow I was drunk and made a remark about the seedings comparing them to a form of retardation (oh wait that’s because the divisions, in my opinion, are retarded). I actually think the admin team is fairly competant as a whole and hence why I ended my post with the whole “Ofc these are provisional still and I can understand mostly the reasoning behind the divisions. Some would say I’m just very passionate :)”.

I back the team completely, but however, I do not agree with the current divisions.

Despite your efforts towards the scene, you make yourself out to be an idiot on IRC, the forums and pretty much everywhere. Sorry, the flame has gone a bit out of proportion.
I just feel every single season you get the most retarded divisions and this is the only time we can act on them to fix them. Last season we saw division 3 with one of the groups stacked with the stronger teams and then the rest with only 1 good team in each division meaning to actually win your division and get to div2 wasn’t that hard. This has a knock on effect over the next season due to the team placement. Divisions should be equally balanced teamwise. I know that’s a hard thing to do, but this is why it may be worth recruiting more admins to help. You have to stay positive and assume all the teams will stay active and alive and won’t fold, and then base the divisions on SKILL. If you just keep basing the divisions on just “who won what” then it just doesn’t work. I’ve yet to play a season where I see great divisions.

What has been good past seasons was that you had pretty much equally as many teams going up as there were going down from each division. Last season we had 8 teams going up 4 going down if I recall correctly (div2-3), which I think was the big miss. With that rule it obviously doesn’t give any space for reformed/new – div2 skilled teams to get in div2. With 2 teams going up from each div3 obviously the skill level of division 2 will go down.
So yeah, I suppose the reason several mentioned teams are not put in div2 is just the fact that the new rule of 8 teams going up to div2 was made last season to avoid playoffs. The only way I saw it working then was with division 2 being extended which it isn’t.
It’s not really about the seedings that were made but about the rule itself that doesn’t give new or reformed teams any space as they didn’t “deserve the spot”, which teams that won/came 2nd in div3 last season have with quite a few reforms/rebuilds within those teams as well…
Not much will be achieved through ranting though, just send in appeals and hope the rules will be adjusted and the playoff system will be re-introduced towards next season, otherwise we’ll be looking at a weaker div2 in my eyes.
