waste of time.

To add my 2 cents, if they take the time to sign up to the league they clearly have an interest in improving so they should be ‘worthy’.
You dont improve by playing against other newbs, apparently those players realised that and want a challenge. Give them one, or don’t you like easy kills?

Also I disagree with eoN, the spam on the etf2l server is well aimed.

I have never played on this server, but I knew of it by a friend of mine for example. I’m new by this bands it’s true, and I’m going to participate in some leagues in fact… To limit the acessing to the noob players, why don’t they have to simply have X posts on the forum or have a team with at least 2 or 3 players and they must participate in one league at least in a time limit like 2 months for example?

The alternative is you have a set of tiered severs. ie.

Pub 1 – For all
Pub 2 – With a password set per season available only to players in leagues 1-3
Pub 3 – With a password set per season available only to players in leagues 4-6.

PuB 1 wouldn’t be any different than every other pub then.
For Pub2 & Pub 3 I agree with what’s said above

how about a filter to let only people from clans signed up in a league actually join the server?
would be even possible?

the etf2l guys set up a “pub” server that needed registration. it’s tough as hell because it’s just league players but damn if it was what tipped me over the edge to start a proper team.

of course everyone in their league is fucking elitist about it “i don’t want to play with noobs!” despite it probably bringing them more business.

If the pub server encourages people to take part in comp tf2, there is absolutely no reason to change it.
