Simple solution(IN THEORY): Don’t let anyone on the server who hasn’t played 1 season(1 game of 1 season counts, or perhaps 2), maybe this would be difficult to implement though?

As long as enough accustomed 6v6 players actually go there, the few nubs that slip through the gaps is only going to benefit the scene in the long run. I’ve never played there due to it always being full so can’t really comment on the balance, but unless it shifts dramatically in favor of sneaky nubs then what’s the problem?

It’s always the same problem, some players think that they are so much better and after a domination they might be a victim of revenge :P
Make a second server if the first stays full, but dont restrict the servers.

Afairemember the server is for testing the new maps to get a “correct” vote for the new maps even it’s not 6on6 there. And if a low- player dont do what you expect a normal player would do I’m sooo sorry for you and your public stats.

I signed up to get better/to play on the server. I am a “pub noob” and yet i have come top, do quite well on “your” server..

If you honestly think you can get better from playing on the server you’ve got a lot to learn imho. Also, topping the scoreboard is insanely easy since you can just spam or be a medic.

If the “pub noobs” actually make an effort to learn and think it’s fun, let them play! It’s just good if we can encourage more people to play competitively.

This IS a public server, whatever people want it to be. It’s not a “Public gather or pickup”. Let people join and play, don’t act as if they’re less intelligent than you and so on.
I am sure the pubbers that join are aware of the higher skill and that they join because they want to learn.

Even so, if these random pubbers do come on to the server and get dominated by ETF2L players (and god help us they should), they’d probably leave in a matter of minutes.

I know somebody who got a kill on someone in div1 (i can’t remember who it was exactly, I think it was maybe kyynel playing off-class) in a random pub server (he was one of these fairly annoying 12 y/o’s) and he went on about it for ages. It was bassically just a spam nade kill.

Even if the gameplay at times are below a div6 pcw, one has to remember that it _is_ a pub for _leagueplayers_. Unless there is some huge problem nobody cared to share with me, the server has been awesome since its conception. I’ve never, ever, seen someone go “omg, div1 players!” or “omg, i killed a div2 player!” or “lol, im div6 and killed a div3” — or, the other way around, high division players fucking about with lower division players. Pretty much everyone seems to know what it’s all about.

Pitiful figures without a clue seems to be quite rare (or even non-existant), so creating problems where there are none is a waste of time.
