YYT2 have proved their place in Div2 (fkn beasts in granary :|)
and thus proved my pre-season predictions wrong, all gz to them and maybe they’ll go to div1 in season 7 ;)

+showing good results against div2 teams in pcw means nothing. div3 and 2 ain’t really so different worlds. look at rockt it. they started well in our division 3 the season before and I knew they wouldn’t stand much trouble in div2 as well. looks like they are making it into div1 next season.

so just to prove that you can cope with div2 and get promoted means nothing at all. most div3 teams can do it.

shut up, when i was playing with them we beat idk and even yoyo1. PCW fair enough, but we still beat them regardless. What i’m trying to say is that they can beat all of the div2 teams on their day, no division 3 team can do that.

That team is perfectly capable of playing in division 2.

agreed, most div3 teams have their better and worse days where they win vs decent div2 teams as well. Fact is though, most other teams, coming from a “6th place” wouldnt come 6th in the UPPER div again, but maybe drop down or whatever. We proved everyone wrong in that case, and yes, our first 2-3 games didnt show any sign of that.

as i said before, they likely didnt *ask* for a promotion back then. We submitted some nice results and so on, while the ones “above” us likely didnt do that then.

In the end of the day, if you dont get promoted and win a div, or if you DO get promoted and come 6th again… it doesnt matter. They’ll still play div2 next season, and i’m confident they’ll rock hard.

but if results outside of etf2l count then we can just as well skip the etf2l games and just check all the other leagues + pcws instead ;)

No flame intended, yyt2 are my honeybunnies, but over all i think that the only way of climbing in the division should be by proving yourself in etf2l. If i were to chose, all new teams would have to start out in div6 and work their way up, but that would cause too many clanjumping kids to go berzerk ;).

But to take a strike at ourselves, jÄgarna got moved up to div2 without actually qualifying. In my defense I did reject at first, but as my opinion differed with that of the team an internal vote lead us to accept the promotion;P. Personally I still think we should have had to duke it out in div3, and earn the div2 spot the old fashioned way :)

All this comes down to a conflict of priorities… on one hand we want a fair and equal promotion system (if you win, you get promoted.. no exceptions) on the other hand we want the divisions to be as even as possible which can be hard as much can happen between seasons and thus these changes must be taken into consideration.

You have clearly proven yourself in div2, solid performance in-game and a middle placement in the division.
