Well, i’ll try with my bad english to explain the problem.
I’ll use an example, i don’t have any problem with the teams or players who will be pick in this example.
I saw that during the match s7 vs Px Cook from [FB] played the game. Apparently no problem, he was registerd in Px at this time. But he clearly joined Px ONLY to play the game vs s7 and then he left to come back in [FB].
I think that this sort of join/left only to help a team for a difficult war isn’t fair. I don’t think that a d1 player has anything to do in a d3 war. So yes, people will say that cook is a d1 medic not a d1 soldier, but a player from a d1 team has more knowledge of the game because he always play at a higher level and can give a tactic support to the d3 team.
Please don’t come with args like ” you’re not from s7/Px and you don’t have to say anything about this case etc.. ” the fact is that possibly every team can make this, and i don’t think that it should be available. Maybe s7 will refuse Cook as a merc, here they can’t do anything because Cook has joined the team and was registered in the team.
1.7.3 One team change per competition allowed
A player is allowed to do one team change during a competition. A player changing from a dead team doesn’t count as real change.
Well mb before writing this post you shouldve at least came up with an idea how this could be prevented, dont get me wrong i agree with you that this isnt right.
Edit: Ye thx racio :) that cleared it up
Ok so problem solve. Thx RaCio for the answer !
nice ninja edit, demourge
Because we’re kind :p
But Technically
1.7.3 One team change per competition allowed
A player is allowed to do one team change during a competition. A player changing from a dead team doesn’t count as real change.
So “ONE” Team change has already been made FB – PX
Cook has now made another teamchange PX-FB
This means he can no longer play any games for px or fb according to the rules :p as thats 2 team changes.
Now the’ll get relegated!!! .. oh wait ;<.
Of course we also know about this case and agree it’s very bad sportsmanship from cook and Px. But currently they haven’t broken any rules so we can’t do a punishment.
As Rule 1.7.3 says cook won’t be allowed to play for FB in the last two matches. Also we will add a new rule for Season 6 so this won’t be possible anymore.
tapley,
… Unless px mysteriously folds therefore becoming a “dead team”.
Well after the match we noticed what they had done and just asked the question weather it was allowed.
In the granary match in which we won I would not say he out fragged the team as soldier but maybe the tactical advantage like you said but it did’t help them at the end of the day. Believe it or not it was not his d1 medic/soldier or tactics that help them. It was his pro pyro skillz :DDD that made the difference on goldrush :(
Both were very enjoyable matches from start to finish just a shame demsii was unable to play the 2nd map :P.
While yes it was un-sportmanship like of them, they did’t break any rules so fair play really who knows I might have done the same thing in his situation.
Gratz on winning the div demsii, err px, umm fb2 err cook. fuck it idk :D.
“Unable” is quite an unfitting word for the occasion, don’t you think? ;p
And besides, I see no reason for someone completely unrelated to the case posting about it on a public forum. And we most likely would have done better if it wasn’t for these recent line-up changes. Cook’s tactical knowledge didn’t really help when he didn’t get the time to share it. :P
sounds like bad sportmanship by swapping teams to avoid that the opponent need to agree to a merc. sure as said above he managed to bring himself into a position in which he’s now unable to play for his real team but does it really hurt FB? guess not. I’d be mad If I was in exS or omg. one of them won’t get into the playoffs because of that.
http://etf2l.org/forum/recruiting/topic-4022/page-1/ So he officially is in FB “for the lulz”!?
There was no advantage by having me whatsoever. It wasn’t a game changing performance to say the least and I wasn’t commanding.
They didn’t have a player available for the first match so I helped out, that’s all, nothing malicious.
I wasn’t actually playing for FB, I just sit in their roster. I left px. again because well it’s the end of the season so no need to stay in there.
So basically, yes, I am in FB ‘for the lulz’ (BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME).
