Medic: Jimmy breeze (captain)
Demo: Byte (caller)
Sol/Sniper: Evil
Sol: Boomeh
Scout: ?
Scout: ?
subs:
Dunc
numlocked
Fragga/Nos
AppZ/NoaM/Oggy/Shintaz/Acidrenix
a) Oggy and Shintaz seem a pretty good Uk combo atm
b) Acidrenix seems to be getting pretty hot with that FAN gun and is also a solid sniper
c) AppZ ofcourse can play well ‘when he is winning’ and when he actually does what he says
d) NoaM speaks for himself, good player all round.
– Can’t decide between 2 scouts as they’d all play well together. If i had to choose i’d probably take shintaz and oggy for the simple fact they both play for idk together.
a) I chose not to include Dunc as the main medic as quite frankly he is always dead – and thus Byte and especially sub fragga would thank me if i demoted him to backup (and i think that would be quite funny too)
– JimmyBreeze is really underrated, knows the game inside out and i feel if he’s given the oppertunity he could walk all over the medic spot.
a) Fragga came close but i dont think he’d play so well with byte’s calls, but he is a good player so i’m not leaving him out.
b) Nos is also a good sub.
– However Evil is definately in as he is hot with the sniper and obviously a good soldier aswell. Boomeh is a good all round player.
a) Numlocked came close to main demo but the team imo would need haunter for him to shine
– Byte got the spot as he is a great caller and plays a solid game.
Other players i’d of considered had they been active are;
– Abomination (sol)
– Joske (demo)
– cook (medic)
Other potential players:
– Fisshu (scout)
– crink (soldier)

It’s not possible to play pocket with byte, and as pocket is what I’m best at and what I enjoy the most, I don’t want to be involved in the UK squad.
Aww c’mon Fragga, lets turn that frown upside down! I think considering we have around 15 more than capable players, creating two UK teams is more than viable.
Surprised actually that you didnt mention me in that nvc, not out of ego but because I thought you rated me quite highly skill wise from our time in nervous, esp since I easily won at TF2 duel everytime we played, beat you at Quake 1v1 about 2 weeks after I started playing the game + generally played well and in top 2/3 of scoreboard most matches for nervous, despite being rotated between soldier, scout and demoman.
:) SAFETY SMILEY
All talk Kovacs not that i’m deciding who plays and who doesn’t but you talk a big game but when you play at a high paced level you are not equal to the job in my opinion.
Being a “good” individual won’t win you anything.
Cheers
Byte
Also p.s . Dunc for President :d xxx

you’ve never beaten me in quake lol, and quite honestly i forgot about you.. but if you want to be a cunt about it then fine please go ahead and do so, but without the bs :)
The only “high paced” games I can be judged on are those I played at nervous. Pickups don’t really count for anything, especially since theres so little to gain from playing them, theres no incentive to really play the best I can, especially tactically. Theres more incentive for me to intentionally put myself in positions that are unfavourable or be ultra aggressive without care for the team just as a change from the norm and for some challenge.
Besides less than a handful of games that I can remember playing particularly badly at nervous (especially one vs Druidz as demo), I pretty much always did well, averaged at least 2:1 kill/death ratio in most matches, often 3:1 or 4:1 even vs the likes of TCM, c0ck, wotr, imperial and consistently scored high compared to the rest of the team regardless of winning or losing.
Thats why I’m so confident. Still have the demo’s, would quite happily put together a vid for you showing you this is the case.

Yeah I have, I beat you once then ever since you decided not to duel vs me when I asked you in server that you joined to spectate a few times. Admittedly you beat me several times before that game in quake, quite badly if i remember correctly.

lol you’re deluding yourself, i’ll quite happily play you whenever, You honestly must be confusing me with somebody else
nvc made some good and interesting points there.
I think the point he made about dunc is wrong though. Dunc (afaik) is the best and most experienced uk medic.
The scout combination is interesting. I think your point about oggy and shintaz is a good one, but it’s possible a different combination could be stronger – we just don’t know it yet. It will be a tough decision to decide who plays scout.
Kovacs made an interesting point but div1 teams cba to trial players outside div1, so the chances of anyone outside div1 being considered are close to absolute 0 (that is −273.1 btw). Would the time be worth it all the same? Probably not.
As for Byte being the caller. I respect Byte and his skills, but I am very critical of his comms. I personally find his comms a distraction if he’s on my team, which effects my game in a negative way. He often talks in hindsight which is useful after a match, but crap in the heat of battle. The caller is another tough decision to be made.
The team’s biggest problem is that there are a lot of strong characters, varying playing styles and ego’s that need to be worked around. If they can be mastered, they are serious contenders.

I was just being a cunt, dunc could quite easily play as medic in the UK team – but i do think jimmybreeze has potential regardless
