Hello all
I read the rules and 2 points isn’t clear for me.
Point 1.5.3 Gravelpit = 2 Rounds, cp_gravelpit has to be played with 2 rounds (possible results: 2:0, 1:1, 0:2)
Does it mean that we should play: round 1- Defense Attack , round 2 AD? What about the third result mention above (0:2)?
Point about recording demos.
1. Can we record only STV demo?
2. Do we have to upload all the demos to ETF2L site?
One more question :)
is there any place other than “submit results page” where we can find maps that choose our opponents
Thanks for replies

About gravel:
The new rules is ABBA, so you switch teams after you’ve attacked AND defended once.
About the demo’s:
Afaik, every player has to record a POV demo (due to lagcompensation if I’m not mistaken), but there is no need to upload any demo’s unless requested.
thanks for reply
but what does this mean:
“possible results: 2:0, 1:1, 0:2”
it looks like some third round :)
http://etf2l.org/about/rules/#6
It’s two rounds, you can win with 2-0, loose with 0-2 and just draw 1-1. :P
STV-demo is _NOT_ enough, every player must record POV-demo according to the rules.
thanks for all replies
I think that better ask first than cry later :)
Man ive played two seasons of ETF2L and not once have a recorded a POV demo :|
Hassle hassle hassle.
Ill start trying to get into the habbit of recording them in pickups etc :<
Just wish it was like STV demos and you could set it to auto record (if i dont know its recording i play better :<)
I see Eon.
Well, all I can do is quote the rules:
1.6.3 Every player has to record Demos
Every player is supposed to record Demos of every map and keep them for at least 2 weeks cause of possible protests. A player and his team who can’t manage to bespeak a requested demo will be punished.
Since it does not mention STV-demos, that is what goes.
“punish him”
A full reply:
On gravelpit, you play 2 full attack + defence rounds. This means you get to be Blue and Red 2 times. Each round (= playing blue + red) can get you a point.
SO if you win both, you get 2 points, and win the map 2-0. If each teams wins one of the rounds, it ends as 1-1 in score.
Also, gravelpit should be played in ABBA style. THis means that Team 1 starts attacking, then team 1 defends. That’s the end of round 1. Then round 2: Team 1 starts defending this time, and ends attacking.
About demos: You hsould record a POV demo. Though a STV one can come in handy aswell at times.
And no, you don’t have to upload them all, we don’t have enough space for that :P
You can see the maps in more places, sure.
our Fixtures page: http://etf2l.org/league/fixtures/ shows them all.
The maps are shown on every matchpage. If you go to your team profile @ http://etf2l.org/teams/6732/ you can click on “not scheduled” or on the schedule date to go to the matchpage. e.g.: http://etf2l.org/matches/12084/ It shows the maps you chose on there at the top of the page. (with a nice image even).
gryzor i always thought that was one of those rules that only really apply if your asked to :s Awch well ill try and start recording :<
*turns off his uber l33t hax*
once again thanks for explaining this (especially to DeNeusbeer)
I’ve checked the maps that our opponents have chosen, and I’ve noticed, that we’ve got one match on 2x cp_well. I’ve read the “rules”, and my questions is:
Can we change our map right now on any map, or do we have to talk to our opponents about that?
May we choose for example cp_gravelpit (we have chosen this map 3 times on map pick phase), or do we have to, choose from 2nd and 3rd map pool, according to rule that we can choose only once each map from this pool?
you can only change it to a map from 2nd or 3rd map pool and your opponent will have to agree on it.
2.8 Same Map picked twice for a match? Change it to a Secondary Map Pool Map or to a 3rd Party Map once!
If both teams managed to pick the same map against each other, they can change it to a Secondary Map Pool Map or to a 3rd-Party-Map [see below] once if both teams agree. Map can be decided by Map Elimination Mode [Explanation] (team on the left @ Fixtures Page is supposed to start) or just by agreeing on one map.
Secondary Map Pool: cp_dustbowl, cp_labor [Link], ctf_2fort, ctf_mach4 [Link], pl_goldrush
3rd Party Map Pool: cp_redstone_b2, cp_science2, cp_stag, cp_warpath2, cp_steel, ctf_smooth_b2 [Link], pl_badwater, ctf_well
How does this circumstance apply to division 2 teams? We’re forbidden from using second map pool yet 4 out of 9 weeks we have the same map twice.
good point, following line has been added to the rule:
Exception for Division 2: Same procedure, but with maps from the Primary Map Pool. The double picked map is automatically disabled from the Map Elimination.
