I am trying to make an eSports website for Georgian gaming community, it will have its own league and stuff. i wanted to ask the makers of ETF2L for a little help (if they can, ofc), to answer my questions and stuff. will be appreciated.

Updates aren’t that easy on the codebase, only emb can do them also because only he is the true master of etf2l’s sourcecode. :p

If you want to hear my personal opinion, stay away from Wordpress and plan out the site from scratch. But this will require you will find at least 2-3 devs who know what they are doing, and it will take quite some time IMHO. The problem is, that there is no proper (correct me when I am wrong) opensource cup system out there, so its not like you can base your site of something.
