Help spread the word about Season 20

Hi all
We have been trying to make an effort to make ETF2L Season 20 the biggest and best ever, but we need active participation and help from you, the community.
We’re not asking for much, we’ve created promotion on the following sources:

Also if you are a Youtuber, we would be grateful if you could spend some time to promote the league. Great people like Ceejaey have uploaded vlogs on their channel for us, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhhYvcn6TpY
It would be cool if other players could do something similiar, you don’t need to make a 13 minute long one like Ceejaey did, just a simple one to say to your viewers that ETF2L is alive and kicking, Season 20 signups are open, there will be prizes for all divisions and we aim for it to be the best one ever for all. I’d love to see some Premiership players with a big following doing something like this, get the community hyped for the season boys!

Not really designed for competitive players, but it’s still a great thing for him to do for us, let’s like, subscribe and share it to all!

Fixed, thanks. It’s their SFM trailer so I wouldn’t imagine they want people uploading it to their own channels.

Better than average for a comp tf2 thread. We can’t compete with SFM posters and new sprays unless it gets stickied.

Considering it’s target audience, I’d say that’s a positive response to competitive TF2 in a community that isn’t normally associated with it.
Notice a lot of the comments are arguing the merits of comp TF2 – but such a debate is the sort of activity we need in people’s minds.

Posting a thread about EU league at 1 AM is not optimal.
Whoever added the URL for the news post in the Event header on /r/tf2, it results in a 404 because the day is now wrong (7th instead of 12th). It needs to be updated to http://etf2l.org/2015/01/12/announcing-season-20-staff-changes/

Have you tried contacting Tf team to Announce ETF2L season on their News Blog? They used to do that a lot for UGC

Meanwhile the fuckin archimedes newbie cup has a bigger prizepool than the entirety of s20 including Prem. I’m as supportive of the comp scene and etf2l as you can get but, Yeah… No…
Also you get a trailer posted on an random SFM american editor youtube, even if it was him who did it I still see no connection at all. Most responses there are dissing 6v6, wrong target demographics, wrong timing, video doesn’t even explain what ETF2L or 6v6 stands for…
It just doesn’t make it “the biggest and best ever”, so far it seems a trainwreck. I’m sorry for being such a downer but I just see so much wasted potential.
I sincerely hope the sign ups increase from last season tho.
