We have been occupied by Soviet Union not Russia.
Also Baltic countries are similar to Scandinavian countries (you as swedish should know that) due to history, culture and language.
Also (from Wikipedia):
In the 1920s, the newly established countries of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland, formerly territories of the Russian empire, were referred to as the Baltic states.
Why is Finland Scandinavian then ;o?
