New to ETF2L, can someone tell me why a certain match hasn't been played?

I’d like to watch some prem casts so I was looking at the maps that have been played so far.

I was wondering how this match hasn’t been played:

http://etf2l.org/matches/40673/

I thought maybe a wildcard was used but it says they used their wildcard here: http://etf2l.org/matches/40675/

I might be reading this wrong (wilcard taken means the person who used it I am assuming) but if it wasn’t played or wildcarded how come it wasn’t a default loss?

Apart from wanting to watch those matches I’m curious because I had to drop my team from the season because we used our wildcard already and didn’t have a medic for the next match. It said in the rules matches must be played by the following Sunday no matter what or there’s a penalty so I had to drop. But it looks like there’s some alternative to playing a game a few weeks late without using a wildcard? If there is a way, I’m going to rage at myself.

Can someone explain what’s going on? Cheers.

uh, why did you drop your team? A penalty is a warning. You can get X amount of warnings before you get leauge points dedacted.

and yes, sorry about that. We had LAN’s playoffs and all that jazz in the way. The first week game is probably only going to be played next week, we are playing week 2 & 3 this sunday, so if you want to see that keep an eye out for the details.

Couldn’t find mercs every night to scrim, meaning we couldn’t scrim. Couldn’t find a medic anywhere, advertised for about 3 weeks. Oh well!

Basically what Linus said, both teams have recieved a minor warning for not playing it before the deadline, and this warning will stay. If you receive 3 minor warnings you get a major warning and get deducted a point from the league. That’s basically all there is too it, if later on in the season they get more warnings then it’s their own fault!

Then what you do is you force someone on the team to go med and then you find a merc for that class quite simple
