From what I can see tftv doesn’t have any particularly ‘interesting’ threads either and is less active than etf2l.
if you want this sort of stuff http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-03-21-this-is-what-top-level-cod-competition-ing-looks-like-you-s then cadred maybe?
I can tell you obviously know what you’re talking about
good point
I post on one of Europe’s largest gaming forums sometimes, it’s a million times less sensitive than this one.
This was an enjoyable read, now lock it before others do the same!

imo etf2l admins have kept this forum to reasonably clean state, which is one of rare shit they do well :D

To the admins:
Why is everything remotely interesting that gets posted here closed. Who or what are you trying to impress, and why on earth would they care if some gaming forums had some less than kosher threads?
As far as I’m aware, if a thread is locked it’s either because people are flaming eachother, or we anticipate -based on experience- that a thread will end up as such. One doesn’t need to be an admin to answer that.
It appears, then, the things you are saying don’t really seem to be accurate. Have you got an actual example?

To the rare individual who posts something interesting here:
Why do you post it here
Because none of your points are actually valid.
I don’t think it comes as a surprise to anyone that frequents the ETF2L forums and reads the comments on the news posts to see you yet again posting uninformed bollocks with what seems to be the sole purpose of provocation.
It appears I replied, so I guess you won. Shit :(

Excuse me mate but I believe I aimed this question at people who make interesting posts.
In seriousness though, I’m asking why does etf2l take such a hardline approach on anything remotely unsavory? Of course I can see you lock threads cause they have “flames” or whatever it is you dislike. My question is what makes etf2l so special that they have to nazi the shit out of everything, when so many other major forums can tolerate it – only intervening when things get really out of hand – and seemingly do fine?
And no I have no particular examples. This is a thread I first considered making a year or so ago, and only just now bothered to cause of some less typical examples (baud threads) as there’s now a decent alternative forum I can point at.
