“What now”? Get better at the game yourself and stop blaming top teams for not protecting your “euro pride”.
rolf was there any surprise that EU lost? NA has always had better teams, i think overall europe has better HL teams if you compare every team but still wasn’t surprising at all that SNSD lost.
Who fucking cares? It was a showmatch under unequal conditions. It wasn’t to prove who is better, it was to showcase highlander. So SNSD lost, whatever. It was a great match to watch.

unequal how? pings were about the same and both had full rosters
About the same =/= the same, there was quite a disparity actually.
As Bill and Linus have both said, it was a showmatch, and I think we put on a good show. There really isn’t much else you can take from it. ts played some really unique strats which was awesome for us to see (soldier going straight for spawn on badwater, crits as first choice on badwater etc.) it was certainly an interesting and enjoyable experience for us but you can’t really compare the scenes when so many factors are in play.
I mean 2 of the maps aren’t even played in Highlander over here not to mention the ping differences. Having 100 ping as pyro I literally couldn’t set anything on fire, even if my flamethrower was on them on my screen, I had to use my shotgun as my primary.
I actually think it was a very competitive game, badwater showed that both teams offensively were very good (both sub 4 minute times on offence I believe), but ts were just a bit better at defending. Granary as we all saw was very close even though it was a new map for us in 9v9 and Viaduct pro was also quite close but playing a DM map like that with a ping disadvantage on pretty much every player (bar Hurri) was never going to be easy.
All in all, massive thanks to the organisers. And well played to ts, they seemed like swell guys and great competition for us. I’d definitely like to play ts again, it was very fun.
Perhaps its not us who have to step it up but the rest of the eu scene to get us to practice? Just saying brah

Averaging 120/130 instead of 80/90.
That does make quite a difference, especially on projectile classes.
We could have played some of the maps on an EU server if we absolutely wanted to win but since most of -ts- are west coast players, we thought it was better to give spectators a good show by putting ourselves at a disadvantage.
Too bad people try to draw any conclusion from an uneven showmatch anyway.(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
