What happened to the banner contest ?

The title says it all. I haven’t heard/found anything about the results, if any results were given at all (I think not, since the existing banner is still there).
The banner contest grew into a complete visual redesign, which is currently in progress. No ETA.
Oh and it turned out that after four years, ETF2L still doesn’t have a bleedin’ logo. That still needs doing.
