Would be awesome to have a Quickfix fun cup so we can test its suitability for 6v6. I just tested it in a lobby and it was a hell of a lot of fun to jump around the crates on Granary mid and also – ROLLOUTS!

Next Thursday of the month we will either host a quickfix cup, a cp_toxic cup or a doomsday cup, we have not decided yet.
history repeats it self.
when quickfix first came out everyone was shiting their pants – OMG game changing… lets make a cup.
*cup finished*
*weapon called broken*
*noone uses it*
Of course its fun for a medic to fly around but NO BUFFS still makes it completly useless in a 6v6.
Rollouts ? what rollouts ? if you rollout with the demo your soldiers have to walk to middle and if you rollout with the sollies, the demo without buffs is weak to middle.
Its more fun ? – yes. Its suitable now for competative ? doubt it.
The “uber” of the quickfix is a joke.
I think quickfix is op in granary. You can pretty much escape any bombing or scoutflank by jumping on crates etc.
Are you serious?

Quick-fix is fun, but it’s way too … insane

Yeah, an insane alternative that should only rarely be used, rarer than Kritzkrieg.
Who the fuck would be thinking that using this full-time has ever been considered a viable option by anyone is beyond me.
Animal? :D
Please don’t make it a QF-only cup, allow uber and kritz too, and don’t throw in other unlocks to test out, would make things too chaotic and not a focused test.
QF vs QF doesn’t really do anything.

And Uber vs Uber does what?

Uhm what?
I think what skeej is trying to say is that evaluating wether the QF suits into our beloved 6on6 gameplay or not becomes much much harder when introducing addiotional non-standard-gameplay elements into the cup (e.g. by banning kritz / uber).
I have to agree that discrete unlocks-testing makes much more sense than mixing 21 new weapons together and then trying to argue how each weapon on it’s own may or may not influences gameplay somehow.
I’d like to see it allowed, but like people say no buffs means it gets smashed by kritz and uber.
May as well allow it, medic in interesting positions, in the vanguard or leaping away is so hugely, massively outweighed by buffs it surely would never be used.

We already had an experimental cup with all mediguns allowed. From what I remember, most teams dismissed the quickfix early in their match without even giving it a good try.
The quickfix requires adaptation. If you just charge headfirst into a team that had time to buff everyone, you die. If you let them build uber/kritz safely, you die. Teams need to experiment a bit and see how the game changes without overheal or godmode. If you put them up against opponents who use uber/kritz, they are extremely likely to ditch their “handicap”, slip back into the comfort zone of the old mediguns and stay there for the rest of the map.
Besides, one night cups are all about having fun. And two bouncing medics will be way more fun than one.
