Hey guys, sorry if this is already on the website somewhere but I cant seem to find it.
What date roughly is the next Highlander season? My community are well up for it and have been doing practice matches and matches in the ladder, preparing ourselves!
App. when the next 6v6 season is about to run out (no warranty)
edit: That will be around Feb/March. In the meantime you can use our highlander ladder http://etf2l.org/ladders/9v9/

Yeah plan is to start around that time, we will probably run it coinciding with the 6v6 season which is something all players need to take into account before they decide to signup.

So gentlemen, which of you fine young chaps is telling the truth?
Me.
The current staggered approach is far more sensible, both for players and admins alike I’m sure, I mean just think how many default dates will have to be organised if both leagues run concurrently!
What Hildreth means to say is “we’re currently discussing the details” :)

So… it’s two seasons a year basically. I read somewhere on the forum you were planning on doing two more seasons before the summer comes. Must be just rumours then.

Is it possible that you are mixing up highlander and 6v6? If the 6v6 season is finished by late feb/early march, we can easily host 3 seasons next year (e.g. may/june + Oct/Nov).

Don’t worry. With both 6v6 and 9v9, there’s no way you’ll ever be deprived of tf2 action ;)
anyway, nothing is decided yet, so we can’t give you a definate answer yet. We’ll make sure you wont have to wait for long though.
i really hope ETF2L don’t run the seasons at the same time. not everyone is able to practice both 6v6 and 9v9 maps for a particular week, unless they are a no lifer like myself. i think someone else mentioned it, but having the seasons separate might also cut down on the “double booking”, something which has already been quite prevalent in S1.
also, the current staggered seasons is great because it allows highlander to take centre stage and be the focus for a change, rather than just being an after-thought for 6v6.
