A few weeks ago i read about the Highlander (This http://etf2l.org/2011/10/16/there-can-be-only-one/) and wanted to take part so i formed a group.

I applied for the one that says Highlander Series 1 last week, but what is this Highlander Ladder 2011? What is the difference?

Can someone help please as i’m not sure if i’ve signed up to the right one. Which one will get a medal like the last Highlander?

Ladder is rolling and self-arranged. The league is not rolling, and is not self-arranged. But if you play only for the medal, that’s kind of embarassing.

Ladder is simply a way to play other teams through challenges, the highlander league is what you want to be joining.

The one that says “ladder” is a ladder where you can play against whoever you wish, the one that says “season” is the season, where you are placed in brackets with other teams and compete to be promoted next season.

Why is everyone so obsessed about medals? Isn’t it about playing games instead?

Wow, double ninja’d

What do you mean by rolling?

So with the League i’m giving times/dates and the ladder i choose myself?

I’m not only interested in the medal, there’s just people in my team who are.

In the league you have to play 1 match/week against an opponent in your division.

http://etf2l.org/ladders/9v9Ladder matches are arranged at will as teams challenge other teams on the ladder. The higher the rating of the team you play and the bigger the winning margin, the more points you get and the higher up the ladder you go.

http://etf2l.org/hl/tablesLeague play involves playing your group and points being awarded for each map win. Promotion is available to teams that win their division.

The medals will be given to all players in teams signed up to the league where that team play all of their matches.

Ok thanks guys.

Another question, i have 18 people in my group and we were hoping to play alteast 2 games each. Will that cause any problems (also regarding the medal as that is what several people in the group are there for)?

E.g does it have to be the same 9 people each game?

Ah ok then, just when i asked a while ago i was told you only get a medal if each person plays atleast 1 match. Are the League and Ladder medals different?
