Hi, i was wondering if instead of having a team united kingdom why not divide them into: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. That way people like me will have a higher chance of playing for their respected countries plus it would make the cup last longer with 4 more teams instead of one.
I thought people were already discussing this in the competition request forum

In some sports the case for individual national teams in the UK is sound (football, rugby and the like) in others it is equally sensible to have a unified team (the Olympics) admittedly most of this is tradition or financially motivated but I don’t see why there is a need to split the nations up in this case, what would be the point?
The opportunity to support or play for your nation as they labour through the group stage and and fail to make the knock outs? The chance of playing (and losing) to the English team? Seriously how is that going to be any fun?
I like the fact I can support a team UK and not feel dirty about it, even if its an almost all English side (unless Kovacs/Kyle makes the squad or Stealthy gets suddenly active it will be next time).
It’s mostly because if you look at the different nationalities there are enough people to play for the individual countries, also if given the choice i would rather play for wales than uk and im pretty sure other people would be the same (not for wales obviously but their respective countries)
We are team GB in the olympics :D might as well keep it for tf2 ;)
