Glitch, cheating or part of the game?

Heated discussion on mumble has erupted about using a taunt to see round corners… Some say it’s a glitch and seeing round corners for free, unlike bonk etc, some say it’s part of the game and l2p nub. Allowed? Frowned upon? Meh?

Well you are defencless when taunting, and it does make for amusing frag clip moments so no frowning from me :)
I think floating somewhere on this forums lie a clip of joske taunting on the ramp on granary, and detonating his sticks when the whole blue team was on it :O

why the fuck would someone say that taunts are overpowered..
Taunts allow Div 9 shitters to see round corners, when a proper player would have the instincts to know whether or not someone is there through listening to footsteps, listening to comms to know where people last were and just basically being actually good at this game.
If you have to use taunts to know where people are then you are genuinely bad at this game and should uninstall.

Wrong in so many ways.
You can tell where people are through footsteps, but not exactly. You won’t know if they’ve just walked by your sticky trap. Through comms its often late to pop a sticky trap, it has to be instant. If you’re looking at the sticky trap instead of taunting to see it, it’s very obvious there’s a sticky trap there.
Taunting to see sticky traps is not a div9 shitter tactic.

Just get a good headset and you’ll be able to hear them so much better, you’re using a £5 headset aren’t you? Also, if you’re lagging that much then you should probably get a better connection so when someone tells you to pop then you can.
