The problem with these kind of surveys is that they imply everyones opinion is valuable. That is simply not the case, not even close.

edit: i do not want to be disrespectful of any of the guys(Chris, Koeitje, Angel, Admirable etc etc) who went through the trouble of making it/analysing it ofc, you mean well.

A) hardly an issue with capticha, and there weren’t any weird votes in my dataset. Download the sav file and check for yourself. All the polls etf2l made were badly setup.
B) I had 432 full-responses, that is more than enough to get reliable results
C) What good would that do….

no, you do not NEED the entire population, if a part of it does not care about it, then fine enough, that is a decision as well. However, I think it is necessary for them to at least hear about it, and as long as this is buried in the forums and not clearly visible on the main page, that is not the case. That is part of the reason why I want an “official” poll (if some Head-Badmin walks in here and declares this poll as official and posts it on the main page, I wont argue anymore really).
An official survey solves this in the respect that it is official and people cannot really complain afterwards – if you do not go and vote for people to be in the Parliament (Democracy ftw), then you’re yourself to blame.
