Chris' map configs

A little something I made for our war server which others might find useful.
These configs it executes the the ETF2L config, and then the right commands (like timelimit/windifference) for the map type you have loaded (AD/KOTH/PL etc). This should stop people from making silly mistakes where they forget to set the right commands for the map game mode.
To install, extract the contents of the zip into the /cfg directory of your server.
Updated for S10!

You’ll never have to worry about having the right settings for ETF2L again! :)
But what if i buy a new hdd and forget to install chris’ auto map script? I’m already dreading that day, today!

This is serverside.
This is a good idea. I’ve been running this (or a similar) setup for a year now on our warservers, works like a charm. No more stupid people who forget to change timelimit and windifference is really helpfull. Just load the correct map and go.
p.s.: Last time i checked you couldn’t use this with Multiplay servers, because they don’t give you FTP access, but solely the “more user-friendly” ClanForge. That’s pretty much the reason why I would never get a server there :)

I did send a support ticket when I owned a warserver with Multiplay a while back to fix this issue. They have installed a Sourcemod plugin which will do the same, I think it’s under something like “custom map config” or something like that, anybody with Multiplay now should try and have a look for it in the Clanforge CP.
The plugin works the same as Chris’ configs here, just upload the map specific .cfg file to your MP server and next time you load the map it should work.
Ps. The plugin they used also supports a map prefix config so you can have a “pl_” and “cp_” one, for example. The plugin executes them prefix first and then the map specific one (if available), so for cp_badlands it’ll do this:
exec “cp_.cfg”
exec “cp_badlands.cfg”
Hope this helps. :)

if these are blank you have some seriously fucked up character encoding

dunno what the fuck you’re looking at, but i’m guessing you’re an idiot and don’t understand the functionality.
keep on pubbin’
edit: haha i know what’s up, you’re using a shitty editor that doesn’t support newlines properly
if you’re so much of an idiot you didn’t think that your stupid editor doesn’t support newlines properly, you have no right to comment on shit like this, leave the feedback to people who actually know what they’re doing
you seem to comment in every thread whilst clearly not knowing what you’re talking about — my top tip is that you should head back to 4chan.
