the abra effect
I don’t know about Beavern. As toxcissisisxx (pick a normal nick plx) stated in the comments on the newspost: I hope they didn’t ban an innocent player. My guess it’s quite easy to mistake a good aimer for a cheater in the lower divs because of the non-existent dodging skills (I don’t really play many low level games, but on tf2lobby I generally need ~2.5 shots to kill scouts). I remember we played FB a while ago with them using a merc who was also pretty good at L4D(2) (winning tournaments/leagues and such). Not much hours of tf2, but vgood aim and good movement.
Having played div5 level games for more than a quarter of a year, in my personal opinion I don’t think BeaverN wasn’t even close to a shiner as some other scouts we’ve faced (eg. Norrla who moved up to div2 when he had a clear opportunity to do so, which not many do) One of the prime differences was obviously Beav posting frag clips with him not missing any single shot, mostly against hurt or seemingly distracted opponents, and wasting 2 hours to add dubstep and super shiny effects, for better or worse and has obviously people looking at him that way (that’s my general perception on frag vids dudes, just not beav’s) Some other div5 scouts have been as capable as he is but can’t be arsed wasting hours onto making it to a 1080p cinematic experience. Oh really, there are more scouts down there that aim and dodge as good as some self-proclaimed div1 shitters.
But still, so if he’s good he still has no reasons not to use hacks. Nothing stops ‘good’ scouts to toggle the hack button to add that extra meat onto their shots/make up for their rustiness to make shakey situations into stone solid two-shot rape. Especially if you’re stupid enough to really believe aim is only what matters in higher divs and are too let down by missing an easy shot on the medic. No one will suspect you for a split second because you’re good anyways. Good players have it so much easier.
Continuing with qn: My team have played against Quarantine with AveN and BeaverN in an ESL official and they didn’t really come off as hacky, but if you ask my other scout partner at that time, he’d give you a completely different answer and he’s really the better deathmatcher of us two. However, please read my thoughts above and let me add my doubts of the technology behind Aequitas (look up aequitas proof hacks on google and you’ll get a few good hits) so this pretty much proves nothing from my perspective. Thus personally I place a slight trust in the AC team and hope they acted maturely on this in contrast to the response from the community. imo, FPS Cheats have existed for long enough and in many forms and games and there’s definitely studying to be done so I really believe the AC team are somewhat capable of seeing a pattern and tell if it’s going over to the obvious side. I’m hoping at least one of them got the required experience and hits the hammer when reaching a conclusion.
Like the newspost stated, it was aimbot/wallhack so maybe they saw more than you did (disregard the pun, I guess.) The doubts are understandable, but blaming it on jealousy is just… I don’t know what to say. I don’t have a penis.
But yeah, hope the banhammer didn’t land on an innocent. Didn’t see that ban on Rufy coming, despite playing an etf2l official against his team.

Aequitas no longer exists, it’s ESL Wire Anti Cheat now. Then you might say you find some hits on google as well for ESL Wire Anti Cheat. Sure. Feel free to try them and you’ll see if you don’t get banned :)
It’s not because a site says that a cheat is WAC proof that it is.
BTW you should read this http://www.esl.eu/eu/wire/news/146961/ (yesterday)

well grr, either way, it totally messed up my computer and hundreds of others. :p Couldn’t use my tablet at all while it was installed.
However, there being nut-crackers on the internet capable of doing anything nowadays, I still have my doubts sorry. And the amount of “x-proof” cheats suggest that they’re still working toward making hacks undetectable. Although, bypassing crappy anti-cheat software is pretty pointless.

Well hurr, another thing is that norrla has been around for along time.. Hes had the time to naturally improve.. Im pretty certain anyone here thats played for over 2 years as a scout would be pretty sick at deathmatching.. Thats why norrla proved himself.. He started off as any other div6 scout at first.. Difference is with beav is the timescale.. just because hes only played a few months and has allready got good deathmatching aim.. from other comp games, people seem to think that hes a hacker. When 9/10 here just jealous…
if people wondering why norrla never went to the higher divs: He was happy in 8U.. we were doing well.. he had no reason to leave. explains the 4-2 jump

IMO, it doesn’t matter for how long you have been playing when it comes to aim and dodge. When you really think about it, aiming is pointing and clicking. If you have a stable hand and can just look @ your monitor, move your crosshair to the target and shoot, the enemy dies. What’s so difficult about that?
Beav used to play top l4d2 comp, which means he might have a comp mindframe. Basically, “what could I do to improve etc.” So he might have studied how top scouts dodged and so on. On top of that, if he’s just good at computergames it means he will improve fast.
I like the guy, he’s friendly and not at all an egomaster which a guy with that aim and potential could have.
I don’t know, this is my own opinion though.
Free BeaVerN best upcoming talent!
