Quoted from Shabbaman

If you add a division the only thing that happens is that you move this problem to div. 7.

Some of the problems wouldn’t be entirely solved but to say that it does nothing is just flat-out wrong. If there is a massive skillgap between teams in div6 but not a huge skillgap between div5 and a fair number of teams in div6 then a 7th division sounds like a good idea. That’s not to say that it wouldn’t be a logistical nightmare taking into consideration the league format and how many “div7” standard teams there would be; that’s probably the barrier to getting it implemented.

The problem is, a lot of the teams in div6 are rolling because they got put there either late, or unknown.

A team we played I think last week in AFS, completely rolled us and looking at their results, rolling the rest of the division. Tik spoke to them afterwards; they had requested division 4 I believe before the season yet here they are in div 6. Did this get overlooked or just not enough space in upper divisions to accomodate?

An extra division could work but it’s still going to have similar problems but the more the community is growing the more divisions we need – or atleast a higher team capacity in the current divisions.

WiK?

Gotta agree. There’s always teams at the bottom of div1 that don’t stand a chance and always teams at the top of div2 that are gonna shit on everyone no doubt. Mix em up!

Both the premier div and the seeding are things we definitely will be looking at for next season.
