Iv’e talked about this with RaCio, ofcourse it’s easier said then done but…
It would be really helpfull if the search-function of the site is not only to look up players/teams but also to find specific topics back. For example: you read something interesting in a certain topic, and you’d like to look it up again.
Problem: You forget where the topic was at, but you still remember the title of it.
Solution: Updated search function, type in a few words of the topic name and it will redirect you to the topic. It’s pretty hard to do and I wish I could, but imo this would be very helpfull (:
This could be solved just by using better forum software.

Bin off your demo section chap. [hyperbole] Who really wants to watch some div 6 pov? [/hyperbole] Oh, wait, 26 ppl apparently.
any other stuff? The list has been updated and some of it will be done for sure once we got Website admins ;)
Easier arranging of ladder matches seems good to me, I think someone mentioned it in the thread about properly place divisions.
And also, better placed divisions and more favoritism to teams and players that actually play a season without dropping.
Div 7 please!
(instead of the need-5-ladder-matches thing, just have an ‘entry division’; div7!)
Having a 14 day limit on playing or gettring dropped from the ladder is very fail. Holidays last 2 weeks ffs. 14 days is far, far to short a time. I see no real reason why it has to be so short.
Why not leave teams for 2 months instead of 2 weeks, and then take them off? A more user friendly ladder that didn’t kick you out for not playing for two weeks might encourage more teams to join and play.
afaik you drop from ladder when you haven’t played a ladder game in a month, not after 2 weeks..

well maybe this is my personal preference, but for TF2’s main competitive site, I think it still looks a bit old/basic. I know it works really well and its great to use, but for a random person joining the site, would you know its tf2? Maybe a nice tf2 banner, or just make the sponsers a bit bigger. It should be a sense of achievement to have steel series and valve as sponsors, not just a tiny little box on the side.
As I said, its probably my personal preference, but just getting a bit tired of the grey/orange/blue colours/theme :)
Honestly, I like the layout. Things are kept somewhat simple.. user interface right on the top, menu for each sections, sidebars for highlights of the more “looked at” parts of the forum and the sponsors (Cause they need to be exposed somewhere)
The banner is nice if ctf was played more, turbine is the only map that comes to my head for competitive ctf so in my opinion the banner is kinda distant to the site. the text ‘european team fortress 2 league’ is small and out of the way, when it shouldn’t be
I dislike the orange as it seems out of place. (Taking a guess that you originally aimed to implement the base tf2 colours http://www.teamfortress.com/contribute/images/tips_palette.gif )
BIG BIG CANDY GLITTERING BANNERS FOR SEASONS/CUPS
Maybe have at the bottom a range of themes..? Maybe putting the sponsors at the bottom? as right now there’s toooo much empty space on the right, and all it’s doing is squashing the forum in..
art/design-wise I can help if you’d like, just gimme a shout on steam :)

You know you can narrow your search by division right?

Does it really matter? You can rejoin anyway, and with the current ladder system the actual points or standing is meaningless to begin with.

yeah but it kind of de-motivates. If we do rejoin then do we keep our (-) points that we had?
It also makes the ladder look very sparsely populated which means less teams will be interested in joining, meaning less teams do join, meaning you get an etf2l with 500 + active(ish) teams and a ladder with…what, 20 teams on?
If you could have a break from ladder matches whilst you play an AFS and a wireplay 7v7 league at the same time it would help a lot I reckon.

if you’re a new player to ETF2L, want to see the standard of the lowest division, like I once did – you might download some POV demos of Div 6 players. Might surprise people to know that Div 6 is still a level higher than TF2 lobby players. ;)
The ladder is a little pointless as it is and because it wasn’t utilised very well, the teams from higher divisions slowly dropped from it.
It needs to be made more exciting and actually worth the higher level teams playing in it.
I think it’s fantastic that some Div5/6 teams are actively playing and doing well there, but the sustainability of the project would increase dramatically if it became more worthwhile to play in it and actually valuable for more teams.
As it stands now, it’s better just to play a PCW since they’re easier to get and you can pick your maps quicker. Ladder challenges are just tedious.

not sure if it’s just me, but whenever I click a different page (2 – 276), it just redirects me to page number 1.
also does this when you have a list of players from a specific country (using the drop down menu)
P.S: would also be good if it would be a bit tidier, like the teams section (http://etf2l.org/about/teams/)
