Hello there,
This topic is meant to be constructive so please do not troll / flame etc.
Now to the reason behind this. We all know no system is perfect and etf2l as some kind of organization follows this rule. However I am willing to take a step forward and ask the community what they think should be changed or improved.
Got an idea up your sleeve? Fire! Would be nice if you could add a little explanation to more complex thoughts ;)
or you might query me on irc / add me on steam

Unfortunately neus is absolutely right, so here my question, do you happen to know somebody who is into that website stuff as in debugging, adding features etc?
If you are interested, send a mail to [email protected] with a bit about yourself, your motivation and your past experience.

a big problem is skill levels if somehow you made it so people understand what skill level they are. i think you should have little sub headings on the division tables indicating a skill level. i dunno its jsut an idea
Definitely something that makes sure the player has to agree before being added to a team. It’s really annoying, and makes your team history look awful (I would know). Do the same for teams so that teams have to accept a player being added before it shows up on his history/their history.
Maybe some more cups? I think the bball cup is fun but there hasn’t been a cup like it for a while. I know the highlander competition is taking place but it doesn’t seem like that’s getting anywhere. I think I speak on behalf of the community here, I’d love a pyro dodgeball tournament with various maps. That would be ace!
Finally, a private message system could be useful. There’s always contact on IRC but people don’t always idle on irc or go on it that often and it would be much easier than adding someone on steam.
Introduce those and it’ll be an even better tf2 league. :)
@ Turbo, don’t think this is rly a problem. If you are clever, you don’t search e.g. at IRC for mid- or high+ or whatever, you choose your div as your skill.
If a team is div 6, and says it is looking for div 6 or its skill is div 6 everyone knows how good/bad they are.
If a team says our skill is div 3, also everyone knows it.
The low- to high+ thing is kind of confusing compared to simply using the division you are in as skill level.
To make it clear you can ask a team if they are top div 4 or lower div 4. This should explain it to you in my opinion.
Just check a teams history at the etf2l site, this shows pretty much what its skill is like – there is no need for a indication of a skill level in my opinion.
I’ve already told it to _Ben and i will tell it again.
Please, ban those trolls/ flamers.
rpl, i dont want to start somthing here, but i see where your going at but its it a big effot fussing around with team history and stuff. we should deffently keep to 1 rating as like you said it is confusing having 2 skill ratings, if we could come to a agreement where everyone sticks to using one skill rating
well maybe this is my personal preference, but for TF2’s main competitive site, I think it still looks a bit old/basic. I know it works really well and its great to use, but for a random person joining the site, would you know its tf2? Maybe a nice tf2 banner, or just make the sponsers a bit bigger. It should be a sense of achievement to have steel series and valve as sponsors, not just a tiny little box on the side.
As I said, its probably my personal preference, but just getting a bit tired of the grey/orange/blue colours/theme :)

I think having staff specifically for moderating the forums and/or the recruitment section for this purpose would be a good idea. I’m sure there are people out there willing to volunteer to do so.
Skill level at recruitment should be div 1,2,3… and not low, mid, high.
Another good thing would be if you could tick multiple skill levels, Coz i might be searching for a div 4 or 5 team and so i could get picked by either.
I’d be happy to help moderating, some people on here really make this place unappealing to newbies, especially from the Highlander tournaments, new people will come in and won’t bother coming again.
Also, more sponsors, PLEASE! This will hopefully get more prizemoney etc. This is the place to go for if you want to play competitive TF2, we need the sponsors to show it.

+1
I’m volunteering if this gets implemented.
I’m new here, so I can’t say much.
But I can say that the entire ETF2L.org website needs redesigning. It’s clunky and bothersome to navigate.
#etf2l.pickup to replace pickup1 and pickup2 since one’s dead and i dunno if the other one’s dead but i’m not invited to it anyway
and also if admin needs any help, i can be a volunteer since i’m active.

no.
this is the most user-friendly gaming site there is, because it doesnt hide anything in shitty drop-down lists (see: ESL). the site design is fine.
im sure it’s been mentioned before, but I’d like to see some sort of highlighting system. basically, you can select a team to ‘highlight’ and when they have a match, it puts them at the top of the list on your “Today’s matches” page – where the team in question is just highlighted or something. possibly even a new tab which says something like “highlighted matches” or w/e
