Hi
I’ve been using my videocard (palilt nvidia 7300 gt) for 2-3 years.i’m updating and installing the latest drivers when they are released.
I learned that installing the latest drivers cant be usefull especially for old drivers. There was a possibility that the driver card can get unnecessary processes and that makes the videocard slower.
So I’m looking for the best version of this card’s driver which will make it most stable.
Thanks for your concern
windows update>refresh>profit
the one from nvidia site will have bugs in it as nvidia are cunts

Amen to that, I’ve learned the hard way that updating to every new driver is a bad idea. Find one thats stable and stick with it.

How to find the stable one , mate ?
Giving an example: I use 190.62 on a 8800 GTS G92 because it’s the last version to support letterboxed resolutions using a VGA connection.
Stick to what works for you
Anyine who have the legacy geforce 7 serie :)
I don’t recommend installing one driver over the other w/ the same Windows installation (even if you use a driver cleaner or some other pointless crap). Just wait until you next reinstall Windows. I always had problems with drivers back when I updated as soon as they came out, now I just integrate them with my nlited install and have never had a problem (installing the driver after installing Windows is just as good).
After a certain version number ALL nvidia drivers will cause crashes on 7series cards in TF2, I reported it to valve way back when (several dozen times) and no one bothered to fix it, sorry I can’t remember which version it is though (I’ve been trying hard to forget)
Best thing to do is try drivers from the early days of TF, versions 16x.xx for example, you can get older versions here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nvidia_forceware_xp/
pro tip: don’t buy nvidia.

It used to happen not only in TF2 (locked at 640×480 @ 256 colors), but now I’m using the newest release and it works fine. Would appreciate if someone recommended a safe, efficient release to use with 7600GS though.

Maybe Nvidia is supposed to fix it and not Valve?

So nvidia is supposed to fix particle/engine errors that arise when valve updates their game?
Please don’t even try to bullshit my reply AnAkIn, you will not win. [I’m drunk I think]
