hey guys

i consider myself to be a really pro scout and my friends keep suggested i try competitive TF2 so I signed up here.

it’s all sort of confusing to me though. do I have to find a team to play? how do I find a team? etc.

Go to Team Admin > Recruitment and put up a recruitment post. If you don’t know your skill level then go with Low- or if you’re really confident go with Low. Then you schedule trials with clans on Steam/IRC and if it goes well then you’ll have a team. I’m sure they’ll help you install all that’s needed to play competitive (IRC, Mumble) if you don’t already have the software.

Also, try playing some pickup games on IRC first: http://tf2.multiplay.co.uk/pickup/

You probably want to first of all gain your steam id(this is sorta needed to prove that you actual play a steam based game :P )
you can then start posting fun stuff on the recruitment/application section
