I’ve been playing around a bit in game, to see what is possible to do and not, and come up with a few changes based on your feedback. Thanks for the help so far.

– Font switched to Mini7 Tight for better readability (Still consider switching out the big ones to something less edgy)
– Added target id icons. (Remains to be seen if this is practically possible)
– Removed shadow on damage numbers
– Added black background to target id health values (Necessary because values must intersect with heath area. This complication also means that the overheal meter has to progress from left to right, instead of upwards. Not such a bad thing)

Healer targetID and Healed targetID are actually the same element that use the same space, and you can’t have rectangular health bars with heath values placed outside them.
Thanks, this was really helpful. After I got this I played around with a few huds and came up with a solution to the health bar problem. I let the health bar area extend under the value so that they intersect and put a black mask under the value to cover the corresponding area. This leads to a problem with the overheal image though, as it extends in all directions. Eigher I’ll let it progress from left to right, using the right partion of the cross, or I’ll have to live with it extending beyond the right side of the heath bar. Probably the former.

I might name it Forever Hud, because I fear that is how long it is going to take. Apart from the stuff in the pictures I only plan to make a scoreboard and a specgui. I’ll try to change as little as possible, minimizing the risk that it’s broken, and if it is, it will be relatively easy to fix. That way it will also be easier to merge with other custom huds.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think you can wrap a new parent around old dynamic HUD elements, because it changes the… “path” or whatever of the old element (I honestly don’t know what official terminology is here).
The font is great and the colours look really nice to me.
However, I think it would look better if the health bar was a cross rather than a square.
Also, I think you should move the damage counter further away from the crosshair, and give it a shaddow/outline to make it more legible.

– Added scoreboard and spec gui (the black line in the score board is for masking out an unwanted hud element)
– Brought back shadow on damage numbers (After testing I found the ones without too difficult to read)
I have also been in contact with M0re and we’ve been discussing the possibility of turning this project into a joint effort, which would most certainly speed up the process.
