Well, the CC is brand new (in terms of public testing) and I’m definitely interested in feedback. If you want to see the details of the current CC setup and let me know what you think, it’s all spelled out here: http://code.google.com/p/gmang-tf2hud/wiki/ClosedCaptions
If you’re talking about the source file, which is a txt that looks more akin to the clientscheme file, I’ll be releasing that in the future when we’re settled on CC content, cause the CC file is more annoying for everyone to maintain patched while still keeping custom content in it than other files (also want feedback on the CC now before everyone goes and uses their own version of it).

Could you describe what you mean exactly, or post screenshot(s)? A 1280×768 resolution is more wide than both 4:3 and 5:4, which are both aspect ratios (among others) on which I test the hud.

Pretty sure it works fine, it’ll be harder to read the smaller things on the scoreboard though. You’ll also have to reduce the width of the name in order to see score and ping of the players.

Also, if anyone’s curious, the issue with stopwatch clock not appearing on minmode 1 without a hud_reloadscheme is actually on valve’s end, and occurs even with no custom huds installed at all. :S
could you plz add a button for switching between pubhud and matchhud e.g. in the main menu

If that’s true, I’m sorry for not giving you credit. I don’t remember when I first saw it. The first time I sat down and wrote it, revan_xp was the reference I used, so that’s why he got the special thanks. If you can provide a link showing you had it first, I’ll be happy to attribute you to it.
HUD ideas definitely aren’t subject to copyright unless someone is copy+pasting your code, and even then, it’s only if your code is unique enough to warrant that. For general “ideas”, you need a patent, and a single hudanimation probably wouldn’t suffice. People get their ideas used by others all the time. Flame was the first to release a HUD showing HP values on targetID, but he’s not going around telling people about it. AFAIK I’m the first to have Huntsman/Bonk threshold notches, smart disguise icon appearance, scoreboard based on minmode, aliases for menu buttons, and a fully supported ‘override’ setup, but I fully expect others to use those ideas. In the end, HUD editing has credits going all over the place. :)

What I love about this hud is that ALL THE ANNOYING FUCKING SHIT IN THE MENU SCREEN IS… taken away.. <3 thanks for this specially. Used this hud for awhile now..
Welp it took 3 tries but I think I covered everything in the Polycount update this time (I’m sure I missed something). The main thing for this final patch was the milk icon, which I didn’t test before because I am lame and usually test hud stuff against bots with no unlockables. :(

* Added milk effect to health in accordance with Polycount update.
* Edited HudAnimations_tf, hudlayout, ClientScheme, and MainMenuOverride in accordance with Polycount update.
* Edited scoreboard formatting to properly place duel panel.
* Adjusted health gain text positioning.
