That has already been suggested many times, and even been suggested by Valve themselves, but they still haven’t done it as you can see.

you don’t actually get the weapons randalf. you can just use them in mp_tournament. atleast that is how cod4 promod works.

so unless the pub server ran mp_tournament constantly you wouldn’t be able to use the weapons.

That’s why I’m saying though, they’ll run tournament mode whilst people get the weapons for themselves.

I like the idea though.

You would only be able to use them with mp_tournament running. If someone unlocked all the items in a server with mp_tournament then as soon as they joined a regular pub then they would lose all their newly gained items.
