Pickups @ #mpuktf2.pickup (on quakenet)
The pickup channel seems to be completely dead at the moment, probably best to look for a nice team.

probably best to look for a nice team.
quick question, I’ve posted a recruitment post. Anything else I can do to improve the chance of finding a team?
don’t just post a recruitment thread and sit and wait for stuff to happen.
be proactive. look at the teams looking for players and contact them.
but make sure to put yourself across well, and don’t pester whoever you are trying to talk to.

I’m not trying to come across as though I don’t plan on doing anything after posting a recruitment post, merely asking for the best way to get in contact with teams etc. Sorry if I posted wrong:/
yeh, i didn’t mean to come across as accusing you of doing that, was just saying.
steam is probably the safest bet, but as long as you present yourself well, and don’t pester and annoy whoever you are talking to, the method you use to contact them shouldn’t matter.
Out of interest, what’s the difference between low-/low/low+? Is there much of a skill difference?

Not really, if your an intelligent person who is good at games you can skip the low grades easily. Its just more for pub/fun teams

I’d rather play through them first, confidence build, then go straight into a mid team and get roflstomped
