Hey, to start off with if this is in the wrong place please inform me/move it.
I’ve been playing tf2 for a while now, always had the ‘want’ to get better and play competitively. I’m at the stage now where public games are just too easy, I’ve started playing a few lobbies and I have my moments in them. I’ve come to really enjoy playing scout/medic in the 6v6 format and the purpose of this topic was to ask; where can I go/what can I do to improve?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

And you can start looking for a team using the recruitment section on this website. Div6 would prob the best to start out.
+1
pickup1 is good if you want to just go play, but getting in a team is definately a better start. Open a recruitment thread looking for low- .
Also, just as a note, I’d say try and decide whether you want to play scout or medic and just stick at it since you’d play one or the other in a team full time, never both. ;)
Focus on playing the class you most enjoy, then do training specific to that class.
Scout – Dueling
Soldier – Turris,bball
Demo – Dribbling and spamming.
Medic – Watch Nightbox’s youtube air healing videos
Play pickups and find a clan in the recruitment section who you enjoy playing with!

I currently don’t own a mic but as soon as I get one that’s where I was planning to go. Thanks!

I enjoy playing scout more than medic to be honest, and so now I was wondering where can I find a european dm server? I’ve tried google and couldn’t find anything so I’ve attempted a few times to play the SOAP DM server, but that’s american so I got horrible ping

There are several European dm servers.
The best ones in my opinion are Pingtimout and Troopers dm servers where you have a lot of good players from the comp scene.
Then you have a spammy lame dm_store server where one can fool around a bit.
There there are some so called ammomod servers for duelling (map am_variety).

I’ve read those 3 articles previously when I was learning about the competitive scene. Thanks for the link though, will read over them again.

Well frag movies are entirely for entertainment, theres not really anything you can learn from them. However….

No particular order there, but imo those are probably the best TF2 frag movies atm.
As I say though, theres really nothing to learn from any of them, its just a pure show of skill (on the part of editors and players).
