So the thing is i want to use a resolution like 1680×800 (bigger fov) but i don’t want to use windowed mode, because i would flick my mouse out of the window, and i don’t really want to see my desktop. So the thing is, i can’t use -windowed command in the launch options, but if i write -width 1680 – height 800, and start up TF2, it just sets itself back to my normal resolution 1680×1050.
So the thing is i want it to be like in this pic http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m103/Deux89/desktop-1.png
Black lines on the top and bot.
PLEASE HELP T_T
That looks like window mode with the desktop background set to black, icons and the task bar hidden. There are also plenty of applications that lock the cursor to a specified window.

Yeah, that is my pc.
I’m using windowed mode, but I have totally black background and I have deleted the explorer process while I play. Also using a program that locks my cursor to one window. Also try to lower dpi if the cursor problem still exists.
thanks for replies!
