whats the good with being able to encode to mp4 in the program ? is it only the fottage you have recorded, or also the fottage you have renderd from an editing program?
You can encode any video using the “Encode Movie” tool. However I highly recommend that you export as uncompressed/lossless from Vegas to keep the best possibly quality.
The encode h264 on the compile movie page is there if you just want to upload a clip to youtube or something (saves a lot of time :p).

Is there anyway to highlight your own kills in STV demos? I think that will be the next step in demo recording. For serious.
if you record movies directly in h264, does it stutter and requires codecs in virtualhub?

I don’t think that would be easy :/, but I haven’t really tried either.
on a side note, I can still record with 90 viewmodel_fov with 4.5 for some reason, thats pretty cool lol

the video shouldn’t stutter.
virtualhub? virtualdub??
Nice work <3
I get “Your heigh is too high” when trying to use 1920×1080. D:
1050
Does your monitor support 1920×1080?

Yes. I can run tf2 in 1920×1080 w/o recording tool
Salmon, atm i render my videos in after effects losless bla bla bla, and then use virtual dub to recompress with xvid codec, or h264 (havent tried h264 yet) will i get the same quality if i use the encoding tool ?

xvid isn’t as good as h264 and you will get pretty much the same quality with any x264 encoder if the settings are good.
hmm i cant click the “launch tf2 button…” i done everything according to plans, triplechecked everything, yet still the same :/

Just another question, why is everything so fucking sharp in the game using the tool ?
