Hitbeeps would be mostly usefull for scouts. Damage numbers also work well on soldiers, demo’s and even medics.

you can tell if you hit or not as scout.

When you’re playing with a ping difference of 70-100+ and at least one connection is suffering some packet loss you wont be able to tell if you’ve hit or not.

The game might assume you’ve hit a full bodyshot but the damage done would be far less.

Hitsounds that work like the current combat text in terms of being able to see your enemy would work.
